Last night, I slid into a conversation about the things I love and will do the next time I am in New York City.  I recommend doing this for any part of the planet that you intend to be at again soon, because it helps you “feel” being there.

Here is what I plan to do when I return to the city:

1. Eat an entire meal at the raw food restaurant Pure Food and Wine. I’ve been there for dessert before (which was the most amazing peach cobbler experience of my life – without gluten and dairy!), and I aim to have an entire long slow meal under the dim lights of the restaurant.

2. Have more Indian food in Little India.

3. Wander the aisles (very slowly) at Whole Foods. That store ignites my passion for health and nutrition products. When I was training at The Institute for Integrative Nutrition in Manhattan, Whole Foods was my stop for lunch, and also the place to browse after lectures were over. My basket quickly filled up with natural dental products, raw chocolate, gluten-free goodies, and goat yogurt for breakfast the next day.

4. Picnic at the botanical gardens.

5. Drink a lot of fresh pressed juice, especially my current favorite blend of carrots, oranges and ginger. (This one is great for the immune system, too!)
