My body wanted to sleep in on this Sunday morning.

Dylan and I went out to The Bread Peddler in Olympia to eat breakfast. I fall so easily into food meditation there, which lasted for an hour after we left. The owner of this cafe pours coffee with such a grace that I don’t often see in the United States.

At home, I put my older iPod in the speaker dock and began with a song that is particularly inspirational to me (In fact, as I write this, I am multi-tasking and singing aloud to a few songs.) I’m doing a little work in my company today, even though it’s a Sunday. I just felt like it. Wouldn’t you rather have your service provider happy at their desk? Wouldn’t it be perfect if your massage therapist or accountant took dance breaks? Wouldn’t it be awesome if every time your waitress took a break or stepped into the kitchen, she clenched her fists and said, “YES! My life is so wonderful! I’m going to have fun at this job because I am here to fund my dreams, and in the meantime, each customer who eats is going to feel like gold! It’s going to be such a good night.” Wouldn’t you want that waitress to bring out your food?

When I’m in this vibration of happiness, my body temperature gets so much higher. It’s like shivering with warmth. I also feel like exercising and stretching, which is kind of odd for me, since I’m not extremely motivated to move otherwise. Walking and yoga classes have been my exercise, but I could run miles on this energy.

I also wonder if the cup of water that was sitting in front of my speakers has soaked in all the inspirational songs?
