How to Receive Unexpected Checks In the Mail

A client wrote this note to me, just a few hours after we finished an appointment: 

“After our call I decided to journal and set an intention in writing to start receiving checks in the mail. 🙂
I just stopped by my mailbox and there was a check from my old dentist for $11.20!!!!
I have no idea what it is for… 🙂 “

Let’s celebrate this surprise check! I have no doubt that this client has bigger checks on the way, because she has been celebrating the small stuff (and she wanted me to share this good news with you!) Celebrating every success will lead to more great news.

1. First, set the intention that you’re ready to receive unexpected checks and surprise money.  

It’s important to get clear around this. You can state your desired amount of money, or simply be open to whatever value shows up.

2. Know that having unexpected checks and surprise money arrive in your mailbox is completely possible.

I have story after story about unexpected checks showing up, and it can easily happen for you.

An unexpected check may appear for a variety of reasons: 

~ Someone might decide to send you a monetary gift. This happened to me a few months ago, when money was sent as a thank-you gift for the work I do.

~ You’re an affiliate promoter for a product or service, and someone purchased something through your affiliate link, which means that a surprise commission check shows up at your door.

~ You overpaid for something, and are offered a refund.

~  Perhaps someone underpaid you in the past, and now the extra money is on it’s way to you.

~ Other events that are magical and completely unexpected may cause a check to arrive (after all, this world bends to your thoughts all the time).

3. Action is often required.

Many unexpected checks show up because action was taken months or years ago.

I believe that it’s important to have diverse ways that income can come to you, and you must take action to create these. Your financial avenues can be through your business, though they don’t need to be related at all. At the moment, I have at least 15 channels of income. Most of these are directly related to my business, and others are unrelated and simply fun extra sources of income.
