I remember back to my senior year in high school. There was one day where a simple 4-question email was sent to me (I think it was from the government). It asked a few questions about my plans for college.
I participated, by filling it out and returning it.
Nearly 2 years after that, I was a college sophomore, about to spend the spring and summer in Europe. I was beyond excited, saving every penny, and looking forward to gelato, Paris, riding the train with my friend, and seeing Southern France.
Then I received a surprise check in the mail for $1200, all because I filled out 4 easy questions by email back when I was a high school senior.
It doesn’t really make much logical sense, but it happened.
It happened because I participated.
All my focus was on creating money for Europe, and then it showed up, as if by magic.
