I’ve recently been playing a very fun game, where I write on the calendar to “Uncover $____.” I fill that blank space in with whatever dollar amount I feel like searching for that day. Sometimes I have a specific need, such as a bill that is going to be due soon. Other times, I’m totally playing a game with myself, and I have some fun ideas about how I’ll spend the money that I’m planning to uncover.
In all of the books I’ve read, I’ve come to realize that the money and opportunities that we desire already surround us, and it’s simply up to us to “uncover” them. On the days where I choose to “uncover money,” I take every action knowing that the money is already waiting for me. I know that is has to be there.
I evaluate opportunities and many of the connections that already surround me. I pay attention to all of the potential money-creating ideas that pop into my mind, no matter where they come from. Sometimes I reach out to potential clients who I feel might need something that I have available, and other times, I trust that the opportunity will find me in a creative way.
The very first day I tried this out, I found the $500 I had decided to uncover that day!
How?
Where did that $500 come from?
Someone actually phoned me, and through our conversation, I was reminded about an offering that I had available, which several people wanted to purchase from me. I took action quickly, and the money streamed in within the next couple days. What I made available wasn’t exactly what I was planning to sell at the time, but people wanted to buy it. It was like answering their wishes, because they needed exactly what I had!
