A little while ago, on a grey winter day, I took a walk into the center of downtown Olympia. My focus of this walk was to search for natural abundance, since I’ve recently been studying patterns in nature. Expansion is one of the patterns that is visible everywhere in the natural world.
We as humans are drawn to nature, which means that we are naturally drawn to health and wealth. On my walk, there was a group of people surrounding one edge of the lake, where an otter was resting on a pile of logs. Nearly everyone pulled out cameras to give their full attention to the otter. Everyone stopped to experience this relaxed animal, and it was unmistakable evidence of how we long for the natural world and can enjoy it when we allow ourselves to.
If you ever feel like your life isn’t moving quickly, look at how fluidly the natural world moves. Water cuts through stone with ease, and water can go anywhere.
When you plant one kale plant, you’ll find that by springtime, it has created pods that leave you with hundreds, if not thousands, of tiny seeds to plant more kale. Many of us wouldn’t even have room in our gardens to grow that much kale. (By the way, kale is the plant to choose if you want clear skin, an internal glow, and intestines that move easily.)
If you ever feel like you won’t have all of the resources you need, look at the natural world. Evidence of wealth surrounds us when we step outside. I could never count all of the flower petals and leaves.
Uneaten fruit always sits below fruit trees after the season is over. After humans collect a crop of fruit, animals can’t even consume all of the leftovers. There is so much available!
At one point, when I was struggling to believe in my business, I noticed a tree and realized something. If you look at a tree, you’ll see that it is set up on the trunk, and then many branches spring out from that trunk. On those branches, you’ll find even more small branches, and each one has several buds coming out of it. It keeps going and going. As long as I could put a solid “trunk” in place as I planted my business in the ground, it was sure to grow exponentially. That is how the trees were growing in nature, and I’m experiencing that in my business now.
Wealth is waiting for you when you align with the natural world.
