I am thrilled to share the tagline for the next evolution of my company!
“This is where making money feels like bliss.”
This new tagline has been up on the wall by my desk for months, and I’ve been waiting for the right moment to unveil it. The phrase was originally a potential description for one of my group programs, called 30 Days to Release Your Financial Constriction, but I decided that it would work even better as a tagline for my business. (By the way, another round of 30 Days to Release Your Financial Constriction will be opening up this summer. We’ve had some serious monetary miracles show up for women who’ve participated, so definitely be on the lookout when we make the official announcement!)
So how about your tagline?
Do you have one?
While you don’t actually need a tagline to do business, it is a piece of information that will assist you in staying clear about what your business does. For example, every time you write an article or film a video, you can ask yourself if what you are creating is in alignment with your tagline. A tagline will also quickly let your potential clients understand how you support them, and this is much better than having a confused potential customer.
If you are ready for a tagline, or are ready to re-create yours, here are 4 steps to develop a statement that everyone will be excited about:
1. First, distill your message, and the promise of your business, into one sentence, a couple words, or a few short phrases. Look at the results that you want your clients to receive, and weave those results into a statement.
One way to uncover your tagline is to have a conversation about what you are most passionate about in your business. Have a mentor with you as you speak. The person with you can listen for sets of words that you naturally use, which can then be formed into your new tagline.
2. Always use unique wording to stand out. Instead of choosing commonly used words as part of your tagline (I see “heart,” “mind,” “body,” “soul,” “spirit,” and even the word “success” used quite a bit these days), choose words and variations that will differentiate you from other people who are in a similar line of work.
3. Have feeling behind your tagline. How do you want people to feel when they engage with your business? A tagline has the power to leave your audience and clients with whatever feeling you want them to experience.
Sometimes it helps to have imagery in front of you when you tap into a feeling.
This was the photo that inspired my newest tagline.
Every time I stare at this image, I am taken back to the moment where I was dancing outside of the Grand Wailea Hotel, on the Island of Maui. It felt free, inspired, and wealthy. This is exactly what I want you to experience as you make money. I want making money to feel like bliss, and not like drudgery.
4. Make sure that your tagline is energetically aligned.
Before arriving at “This is where making money feels like bliss” as my new tagline, I was almost going to announce a completely different tagline. The first option was great, it explained everything that I wanted to convey through my business, and I liked it. Then I dove a little deeper into the energetics of option #1 for my tagline at a numerology session. The numerologist (a dear friend who I highly trust) told me that, from a numerology point of view, option #1 was actually a highly unfortunate phrase.
It’s true that I do commonly evaluate business choices based on a series of different modalities ~ intuition, numerology, and also a calendar system based on the cycles of the moon. Although I don’t believe that we have to make all of our decisions based on what certain modalities or outside consultants might say, I also respect the input. For my newest tagline, I chose to listen to the advice. I let go of tagline choice #1, and chose “This is where making money feels like bliss” instead. After all, whatever new tagline I chose would become an influential base of my business, and it was important to me that it be energetically aligned.
As you create your own tagline, sit with it for a while, and really feel into the energy of it. Do whatever you need to be sure that it’s energetically aligned to your bigger business goals. Perhaps draw some Goddess cards (if that’s your thing), ask for intuitive support, and chat with your mentor about expressing the true intentions of your business through the few words that will make up your tagline.
