So here’s that crazy strategy that I took:
I signed a contract for a high-level business mentorship program, and committed to monthly payments that were larger than any consistent payment I had ever paid in my life. In fact, the full contract itself was for as much income as I used to earn in an entire year. I became legally bound to create the money to pay those payments, and that’s when I started making more in my business. I couldn’t ask anyone else to financially bail me out of this contract. I had to make the money, and because I had to, I did.
With this huge financial commitment, I decided to start doing things a little differently in my business and my life:
~ I stepped out of my comfort zone in many ways, because, like I mentioned, I had to make the money for those monthly payments.
~ I learned how to launch programs and products for my business.
~ I had more conversations (on the phone, at conferences, at dinner parties), and many of those conversations led to new clients.
~ I would phone up people who I intuitively felt I needed to work with, and when it was a fit, they would sign on to work with me.
~ I invested in higher-end containers for my money (a better credit union, and a designer purse and wallet that I feel wealthy using).
~ I played hooky more often when I didn’t feel inspired to work (and when I came back from playing hooky, I was always very inspired to work).
~ I began sending my money forward through gifts and meals for other people that I love.
~ I started meeting future clients in the most magical of ways.
~ I became more particular about the people I would work with, and began turning down income opportunities that didn’t feel right.
~ I raised my prices (after all, I was taking my $130,000+ education and business investments, and would pass this knowledge along to my clients at a fraction of the cost).
Now I no longer need someone else to put a band-aid on my finances or bail me out of financial hardship, because I know that I’ll make a certain amount of money, at minimum, every month. After doing it over and over again, it has become easy. It will become easier and easier for you, too.
Over the coming week, I encourage you to do something differently in your business, and in your life.
Step out of your comfort zone in a new way.
Take a risk that your intuition says yes to.
