I was exhausted. Flights every 2 weeks from Seattle to New York for school. All of my belongings were in storage, and I had been traveling all over the United States visiting family, completing my Health Coach training, and getting my Bachelor’s Degree.
When I was done with all of the craziness, I gave myself an entire month off to rest at my childhood home.
All of August.
My rules were simple:
Eat, sleep, work in your garden, figure out where you’d like to live next
As September of 2009 rolled around, I knew where I was going to move to next, and began looking at homes to rent. It was pretty frustrating at first, and all I found were embarrassingly shoddy rentals.
I didn’t own a car at the time, and decided to travel on the bus with my sister to the little city to look at possible houses. As the bus was meandering through the edge of one of the most desirable neighborhoods in the city, with beautiful trees, well-kept homes, and an easy walk from the fun cafes in downtown, I pointed across the road at that row of houses, and with a little frustration in my voice said to my sister “Why can’t I just live THERE!?”
Guess where I ended up living….?
In a house EXACTLY where I had pointed my finger that day.
The home was everything I wanted, and I stayed there for 8 years.
So what happened between pointing to the exact location of the house to actually getting to LIVE in that house?
It’s one of the processes I’m going to be sharing in the Manifest-Oh-Yes! workshop that begins this Thursday the 8th.
